How to enable or disable Windows firewall in Windows Vista?

Enabling or disabling Windows Firewall.

    Please refer to the steps below to enable or disable Windows Firewall in Windows Vista.


    1. Click Start->Control Panel.



    2. Click Security.



    3. Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off in Windows Firewall.



    4. When User Account Control appears, click Continue.
      Please refer to the following when logging on the system by using standard user account.

      If User Account Control doesn't appear, please proceed as below.

    5. Enable  On (recommended) in the General tab, and then click OK.
      To disable Firewall, please select Off(not recommended), and then click OK.
