Is it possible to record using an external microphone?

By connecting a mic accessory via USB Type-C or the audio jack, you can record with an external mic. The mic setting will automatically switch to an external mic when a mic accessory is connected.

Note: Since the Audio jack of the Xperia phone has a 4-pole specification, the 3-pole microphone cannot be used as it is. If you use a 3-pole microphone, it will be recorded silently. You may be able to record using a 3-pole to 4-pole conversion cable, but there is no guaranteed operation for Xperia phones.
