Recently, a potential loss of power to the TV caused by a specific component issue, may affect a limited number of BRAVIA LCD TV models. The affected models include KDL-70W850B which were available for purchase from 2014 February. In rare cases, affected TVs may emit smell or smoke.

IMPORTANT: If you own one of the products mentioned and notice any abnormality (e.g. loss of power, smell or smoke), please turn affected TV set off immediately, unplug the power cable and stop using the affected TV.
To ensure customer satisfaction, Sony will repair the affected TVs without any charge upon evaluation. Customers with the affected TVs are requested to contact our Customer Interaction Center at 1-300-88-1233.
