Sony Malaysia’s Alpha Experience 2025
Two days of talks, hands-on gear and the RX1R III launch
(MALAYSIA, 22 September 2023) – The Alpha Experience 2025, held on 20–21 September at Confetti KL, transformed into a creative playground where photographers, filmmakers, and content creators came together to learn, experiment, and celebrate the art of visual storytelling. Across two immersive days, participants were treated to inspiring talks by acclaimed creators, an exclusive first look at the brand-new RX1R III, and the excitement of the Alpha Experience Photo Contest finale.

The event opened its doors to a buzzing crowd eager to dive into hands-on workshops and live demonstrations.
From street photography to cinematic workflows, the programme was packed with talks and sharing sessions by Sony Alpha creators, including regional names such as Tavepong Pratoomwong, alongside Malaysia’s own rising talents. Guests not only heard about techniques and creative journeys but also experienced them in action, thanks to interactive sessions and gear playgrounds spread throughout the venue.

A key moment at Alpha Experience 2025 was the local availability announcement and showcase of Sony’s new RX1R III. The RX1R III — Sony’s revived premium fixed-lens compact with a high-resolution full-frame sensor and modern AF features — was featured at the product showcase where guests were among the first in the country to have hands-on experience of the camera’s capabilities at the booth, testing sample image output in real conditions around the venue. Available for sale in Malaysia in September 2025, retail pricing information was also announced on launch day.
Alpha Experience 2025 concluded on a high note with the Road to Alpha Experience Photo Contest prize presentation. Throughout the weekend, shortlisted entries were showcased around the venue, turning the space into a gallery of perspectives and stories. The live announcement of winners brought cheers from the community, as deserving talents walked away with coveted Sony gear — including lenses and accessories — and recognition of their peers.
Beyond the sessions, launches, and prizes, what resonated most was the sense of community. From casual conversations at the touch-and-try stations to shared excitement during the prize announcements, Alpha Experience 2025 reminded every attendee why the Sony Alpha community continues to grow stronger each year — bound by creativity, curiosity, and the passion to capture life through the lens.
