Share Photos Wirelessly with Sony’s New Cyber-shot™ 2GB Photo Album Camera

It’s a digital camera and photo album rolled into one. Sony Malaysia announces the new 6 mega pixel Cyber-shot™ G1 with an impressive memory capacity of 2GB to store about 600 still images. With one of the largest screen size of 3.5” in the digital camera market, the Cyber-shot™ G1‘s highest resolution Xtra Fine LCD displays crisp photos even in bright outdoor conditions. Its built-in WiFi (Wireless) function enables photos to be shared wirelessly with up to 4 Cyber-shot™ G1 units or connect to DLNA-enabled devices for sharing of images with family and friends in a living room. Its newly developed hand-held twilight mode makes shooting at night convenient without a tripod to produce beautiful night scenes.

With its option to display up to 100-images index on the screen simultaneously, the user is able to search for images stored in the Cyber-shot™ G1 easily without scrolling through hundreds of photos. Supported by the automatic image management function, it can group photos based on event by calculating the frequency and interval of the photos shot. For quick identification of each photo, the Cyber-shot™ G1 provides 13 types of labels to customize each photo with comments to enhance each memory. Employing the bundled Album Editor software, it can search photos by colour, face or similarity by analyzing the images based on the meta-data edited from PC.
With WiFi technology, the Picture Gift function allows up to 4 Cyber-shot™ G1 units to be connected for exchange and viewing of photos within a distance of 10m-30m, depending on the environment. Its compatibility with DLNA version 1.0, the new standard for technology home living creates an environment of wireless connection between DLNA-enabled home technology products to share photos on a BRAVIA television or on a VAIO laptop in the comfort of one’s home.
The Cyber-shot™ G1 equipped with Super SteadyShot™ and high sensitivity of ISO1000 takes up to 6 mega pixel resolution images for excellent photo quality print. Combined with Clear RAW Noise Reduction and Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar® lens, this Cyber-shot™ G1 shoots superior photos.

The Cyber-shot™ G1 will be available in Malaysia from May 2007.
