I bought this specifically to record my doctor’s appointments, and it has been a lifesaver. When you’re receiving a lot of medical information at once, it’s easy to forget the details. This device ensures I capture everything accurately. Why it’s perfect for the doctor's office: Total Discretion: It’s so small (about the size of a stick of gum) that it doesn't feel intrusive or intimidating when sitting on the exam table or clipped to a folder. I was looking for a compact, lightweight digital recorder with a long, rechargeable battery life. The Sony TX660 fulfilled this requirement excellently.

Easy to use, compact design and clear recording...

Had to purchase this, as I gave up with inferior, sub-£30 digital recorders that I purchased from online sellers. The Sony TX660 is not a budget recorder, due to it's premium price, but in very many cases with premium goods, you get what you pay for. I have purchased many USB digital recorders, which are very discreet, and can be used at functions such as weddings/marriage ceremonies etc. They provide basic quality sound of which some are better than others. These have disappeared from sale, to a greater extent, and I am not really surprised. The Sony TX660 has impressed with its excellent, clear, sound quality, which is adjustable, and can be tailored for many events like meetings, conferences, lectures, and the like. Voice quality that this thing picks up if worn as a pocket clip attached recorder is impressive. Once you have experimented with the various setting menus on the the OLED screen, and become more familiar with the small side buttons, which are small, but this is a small device, no wonder, you will not be disappointed with the sound results, once transferred to Laptop or PC. The Sony is a excellent piece of kit in a small, discreet, package, but at a price that reflects this.

I bought this about 1 month ago and have been using it to keep track of my to-dos while going about my day to day, and it has helped me greatly in my everyday work and memory retention. it is small, nimble and easy to carry around.

the sound is excellently clear. Perhaps Sony can improve more on noise cancellation.

While recording can not be pause , only start record to new file. Should have mic jack for lavaria mic. Size is ok. Battery is ok

I was initially skeptical about this recorder, as there was no micro SD car available, and there was no mic input jack for a lavalier microphone. But, due to inventory issues, I have no choice, and I needed a recorder urgently, so I bought it anyway. Best decision I made!! This recorder is extremely capable for its size. Recording quality matches the UX570 which I am already using. And given the small size and lightweight built of the recorder, there is no need for a mic! I just wear it closer to my mouth! Or closer to the mouth of the person who is speaking! It works better than connecting the UX570 to a lavalier mic! 16GB storage is more than sufficient, even though I record in the highest quality setting, which means a file size of 1GB every 1.5 hours or so. More storage than battery life, which is definitely more than sufficient!! Only drawback is, interface is a bit of a pain given its small size and limited buttons. Small drawback, but can be worked around by doing file management on a PC.

This is a sturdy little recorder with great audio playback. It’s so small you can take it anywhere. I take it on hikes to record my thoughts and it works wonderfully.
