IMPORTANT: Adding favorite channels on the Android TV is possible when using a coaxial cable for either an antenna or a direct cable connection.
Follow the steps below to add, remove, or watch your favorite channels on an Android TV or Google TV. For the TV menu / TV menu bar, refer to the Using the TV Menu / TV Menu Bar article.
Choose your TV type (or series)
Hint: If you want to check your TV type, refer to the How to check if your BRAVIA TV is a Google TV, Android TV, or other TV article.
For Google TVs
Adding favorite channels
- On the TV remote control, press the TV button, then display the TV menu.
- Go to the channel you want to add as a favorites channel.
- On the remote control, press the ↑ (Up) button and add the channel to favorites from the displayed menu.
Note: The displayed menu items vary depending on the usage status of the Favorites function.
Watching favorite channels
- On the remote control, press the TV button, then display the TV menu.
- Select the item you want to watch from Favorite 1 to Favorite 4 displayed at the bottom of the TV screen.
Removing favorite channels
- On the remote control, press the TV button, then display the TV menu.
- Go to the channel you added to the Favorites.
- On the remote control, press the ↑ (Up) button and remove the channel from Favorites on the displayed menu.
For the following Android TVs (2018 to 2020 models with Android™ 9 or later): A9F, Z9F, A9G, X85G, X95G, Z9G, X90H, X91H, A8H, A9S, X80H, X81H, Z8H, X95H (55, 65, 75), Z9H, X95H (49, 85), X85H series
Adding favorite channels
- Set the TV to the desired channel you want to add as a favorite channel.
- On the remote control, press the TV button, then display the TV menu.
- Select TV control.
- Select Add to Favorites.
- Select the item from Favorites 1 to Favorites 4 to register the channels.
- To display the added channels on the TV menu, follow these steps:
- On the remote control, press the TV button again.
- Select the + (Plus) button at the bottom of the TV menu.
- Select the item you want to display on the TV menu from Favorite 1 to Favorite 4.
- The item you selected such as Favorite 1 is displayed on the TV menu.
- When you select the item such as Favorite 1 displayed on the TV menu, the added favorite channel will be displayed.
Removing favorite channels
- On the remote control, press the TV button.
- Select TV control.
- Select Favorites setup.
- Select the item you want to remove from Favorite 1 to Favorite 4.
- Select the channel you want to clear and remove the checkmark.
NOTE: If you want to remove the channel registered on Add to Favorites, you can also follow these steps:
- On the remote control, press the TV button.
- Select TV control.
- Select Remove from Favorites.
- Select the item you want to remove from Favorite 1 to Favorite 4.
For Android TVs other than above
Adding favorite channels
- Set the TV to the desired channel you want to add as a favorite channel.
- On the remote control, press the ACTION MENU button.
- Under the TV category, select Add to Favorites.
NOTES:
- On the remote control, press the Discover button to check the channel you previously added. The Favorites channels tab will appear at the middle bottom part of the screen.
- If the channel is already added as your favorite channel, you have an option to remove it.
Removing favorite channels
- Set the TV to the desired channel you want to remove from the Favorites channels.
- On the remote control, press the ACTION MENU button.
- Under the TV category, select Remove from Favorites.
