It has come to our attention that, a limited number of Walkman NWZ-W202 players may experience performance issues following exposure to sweat due to sports or outdoor use.
We take all customer feedback seriously. While the device is not designed to be splash proof or water resistant, we have implemented additional safeguards to reduce the effect of sweat on the players.
We have determined that this only occurs in a limited number of NWZ-W202 players within the applicable serial number range. If you have purchased a Walkman NWZ-W202 player and feel your device has been affected by this issue, please contact your local Sony service centre. If the service centre confirms that your unit is experiencing symptoms related to this issue, Sony will replace, free of charge, the affected Walkman player within the applicable serial number range, until 30 June 2011.
