TV Displays Error: 4057

Things To Know

The error may occur in any of the following instances:

  • While you check your TV's software update
  • While your TV downloads the latest software update
  • After your TV completes the software update
  • While your TV connects to an access point through wired or wireless connection
  • While you access a TV app

Solution

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Make sure the TV connects to an active internet connection.

    1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. In the Settings menu, select Preferences.
    4. Under the Preferences, select Setup.
    5. Under the Setup, select Network.
    6. Under the Network, select Network Setup.
    7. Under the Network Setup, select View Network settings and status.
    8. Select Check Connection.

      This may take several minutes. Don't cancel this operation.

  2. Make sure you agree with the Privacy Policy.

    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. In the Settings menu, select Preferences.
    4. Under the Preferences, select Setup.
    5. Under the Setup, select Privacy Policy.
    6. In the Privacy Policy screen, select Agree. Then, press the right arrow button on the TV remote control to confirm.
    7. To return to the Network category, press the back button.
    8. Under the Network category, select Network Setup.
    9. Under the Network Setup, select Setup network connection.
    10. In the Please select how to set up your network screen, select Easy or Expert.
      • Select Expert if you want to customize your settings, or if you need to switch between wired and wireless modes.
    11. Under the Network Setup- Wi-Fi Network screen, select Scan.
    12. Under the Network Setup -Wireless Security screen, press the center button.
    13. Enter your network password or security key.
    14. Under the IP Address Setting screen, select Auto.
    15. Select No for the proxy server.
    16. Select Save and Connect.
      • If the TV connects to the access point, install the latest update through the Customer Support menu of the TV.

        1. Press the HOME button.
        2. Select Settings.
        3. Under the Settings category, select Customer Support.
        4. Select Software Update.
        5. Select Network.
      • If the issue still occurs after the Network update, use a USB device to update the TV.

        1. Download the latest software update on your computer.
        2. Press the HOME button.
        3. Select Settings.
        4. Under the Settings category, select Customer Support.
        5. Select Software Update.
        6. Select USB.

Additional Troubleshooting

If the steps above didn't resolve the issue, try these additional steps:

  1. Unplug the TV power cord and the router from the electrical outlet for about a minute.
  2. Power on the router and the TV.
  3. Perform a Refresh Internet Content at least twice.
  4. Verify the Device ID through the Customer Support menu of the internet video device.
  5. Use primary DNS, 8.8.8.8 and secondary DNS, 8.8.4.4 to Manually configure the DNS
