Why does the battery icon not appear on the lcd screen during charging or regular use?

Question

The battery icon does not appear on the lcd screen during charging or regular use.

Answer

There is no option for turning the battery indicator icon on or off. If the battery icon is not appearing, reset the unit by inserting a paper clip (or similar object) into the reset button access hole.
