*These charges are applicable for labour only and does not include price of parts.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Warranty After Repair
To qualify for warranty service and repair, the original proof of purchase must be produced at the point registering the product at the service counter, for outdoor television service appointments (21 inches and above only) it must be produced to the technician prior to the repair.
Exemption of Product Warranty
Within the warranty period, routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, intallation, products tampered by unauthorised personnel, direct or indirect lightning strike, damaged through any external force or impact, any breakdown not due to normal / natural fault / defect are subject to repair charges. Quotation shall be provided accordingly and technician shall determine whether it is viable for repair. Modified products and tampered serial number units shall be rejected at the Service Center.
Warranty After Repair
Any parts replaced at the repair shall be guaranteed against material defects and/or workmanship for three (3) months from the date of collection.
Products with Internal Memory or Data Storage Capacity
The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that he/she backs-up or saves the content/memory of the product including any data stored and/or software which may have been installed prior to sending the product to Sony for servicing or repairs. Sony shall not at anytime or whatsoever be responsible or liable for any damage to or loss of such content/memory data and/or software.
Outdoor Appointment / Repair
Outdoor service appointments for television category (21 inches and above only) are available within Sony Service Center business hours only.
Warranty After Repair

Outdoor / Travelling Charges
Television without warranty and requires an outdoor appointment repair shall incur an additional charge of RM25.00 as travelling and administration fee on top of the labour and spare parts charges. This outdoor service appointment repair is applicable to Television category (21 inches and above only) and located within Klang Valley.
Pick up Service
Upon request, picks up services are available for all categories at a fees of RM40.00 per trip within Klang Valley.
Non Sony Malaysia Model
An additional of 30% on the service labour charge shall be imposed for models/products not sold by Sony Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. as administration and handling fees. In the event that the unit requires repairing to be performed at the country of origin or Japan, all expenses with reference to courier, insurance, administration and repairing charges shall be borned by the customer.
Parallel Import Model
The labour charge for Parallel imported models shall be two (2) times the standard service labour charge.
Estimation Fee
The minimum administration fee imposed in assessing the repair is RM20.00 for all product categories except for the Portable Cassette Radio category the fee is RM10.00. No administration fee shall be imposed in assessing the repair for Accessories. There shall be no administration fee charges when an agreement is made to proceed with the repair.
Deposit
A deposit of RM20.00 shall be paid upon sending non-warranty defective units to Service Centre for repair. Request for deposit payment prior to repair shall be at the discretion of the Company.
Product Reclaim
Products not collected/reclaimed by customers for whatever reason(s) after three (3) months from the date of notification either through written or verbal from the Sony Service Center shall be disposed off at the absolute discretion of the Company.
