Sony Customers First to Experience New Concept Store and Enhanced Shopping Experience

Sony Malaysia and Foto Shangri-la Sdn Bhd today announced the official launch of the new Sony Centre at Mid Valley Megamall, also three new models of VAIO SZ Series. Guests of honor include Executive Deputy President of Consumer Products Group, Sony Corporation, MR. KATSUMI IHARA together with Managing Director of Sony Malaysia, MR. NAOI SUDO, Managing Director of Foto Shangri-la, MR. ALLEN WONG and Managing Director of IGB Corporation, Mr. Robert Tan participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of Sony Centre.

The launch of the new Sony Centre demonstrates Sony’s progressive efforts to introduce the many lifestyle-enhancing products to a wide variety of consumers. “This latest Sony Centre at Mid Valley Megamall is one of the best examples of our on-going effort in dealers’ store development,” said Mr. Naoi Sudo, Managing Director of Sony Malaysia. “The new concept store will establish an effective touch point for customers; it has a fresh and lifestyle shop design, with displays that are simple and practical to provide a more enjoyable shopping experience,” he added.

The newly launched Sony Centre is a flagship store dedicated to giving customers a comprehensive Sony experience. Some features of the new store include:

• 2, 000 sq ft retail space where customers can shop and learn about Sony products
• Over 150 Sony products on display for a hands-on experience. The products encompass all of the ranges Sony has – BRAVIA Theatre, VAIO, Cyber-shot, Alpha, Handycam, Walkman, Sony Ericsson and accessories.
• Knowledgeable Sony specialists who can answer questions about the entire product line.

The hands-on Sony Store experience provides customers with a chance to test-drive Sony’s entire product line including the LCD TVs, Home Theatre Systems, VAIO laptops, Cyber-shot cameras, Handycam camcorders and many more.

In conjunction with the opening ceremony, Sony Malaysia also launched its latest models of VAIO SZ series and G series laptops, and BRAVIA V300 series LCD TVs to the public. The brand new VAIO SZ series offers high performance and security in one complete solution while the G series defines the true meaning of portability for business. The Sony Centre Store is located on 2nd floor, Mid Valley Megamall neighboring Jusco. Business hours are from 10am – 10pm.
