The sound does not match the picture on the screen.

Sound is not synced with movie

Follow these steps to adjust the delay between the picture and sound.

  1. Make sure that the latest system software (firmware) update has been downloaded and installed.

    NOTE: If the home theater system is connected to an active Internet connection, the latest updates are available from the Network menu of the home theater system.

  2. Using the supplied remote, press the SYSTEM MENU .

    IMPORTANT: For the BDP-T58 model only, press the OPTIONS button.

  3. Press the up arrow or down arrow to select A/V SYNC.
  4. Press the right arrow.
  5. Press the up arrow or down arrow to adjust the delay between the picture and sound.

    NOTE: You can adjust between 0 ms to 300 ms. If the sound is slower than the picture Adjust the A/V SYNC setting to 0 ms. If the sound is faster than the picture, adjust the A/V SYNC by starting at 0 ms and moving toward 300 ms until the issue is resolved.

  6. Press Enter to confirm the selection.
  7. Press SYSTEM MENU to exit the menu screen.

    IMPORTANT: For the BDP-T58 model only, press the OPTIONS button.

If the audio and video are still not synchronized or are out of sync when listening to the sound from the TV on the home theater system, connect the optical audio cable from the cable box or satellite receiver directly to the home theater system instead of the TV.
